ALDNOAH.ZERO Ep. 1, 2, 3 & 4 – LET THE JUSTICE BE DONE, THOUGH THE HEAVEN FALLS. [First Impression]

I am not a big fan of mecha series, although I enjoy some of them but I’m not so into it; so, when I heard about ALDNOAH.ZERO and saw a few screen caps of it I kind of doubt if I would like it. But, I changed my mind and ended up wanting more (this was 2 days ago before episode 4 released). I admit that I REALLY DON’T KNOW of what’s the frikking hell goin’ on here; beside it’s the sub or it’s just me who’s not a native English speaker like some part of the dialogues seem weird. This show is standing on a very whole different level of my understanding ability. I honestly do not have a strong grip of the background of this series but whatever, as long as I enjoy it so what?

Episode 1 was a strong start. A cute Princess (she reminds me of Lacus of Gundam SEED & Destiny) and I don’t know what to call Slaine since God I really don’t know what he really is (he and his father are probably from earth and these people outside Earth are called Martians or whatever, although they all are originally from Earth). Oh, and there’s Count Cruhteo, the Princess babysitter who acts as pricky as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter. I got it wrong, I thought Slaine would be our MC, turned out our MC is a teenage boy with a stoic demeanor.  I like it, no seriously I like it. I don’t know if they are trying to show us how badass the MC or it’s just the MC’s personality but the way he said “we need to get out of here.” “I just saw a missile” was so fucking chill. And yet he still got enough time to cook eggs while the whole town was finished evacuating? I have no fucking idea if he’s God or something *cough* (Tatsuya from MahoukaRettousei everyone?)

Earth is fucked. As Princess Asseylum’s parade cars were turned to smithereens after the missiles attack, The Martians demolished New Orleans in a single impact of massive alien tube(?) with Kataphrakt in it landing. That was seriously epic. The insert song really helped!

Episode 2 and 3 just showed us how calm is Inaho in battle. I honestly feel something is missing. I can still go on when Inaho’s friend was dead in front of him and he was like oh, well, what can I do about it? It’s something different. When I watched Gundam SEED & Destiny I saw all these people in horror like man this is some serious business; people be blown, bombed, blood everywhere something like that. Like I said earth is fucked, truly fucked up and these highchooler, well, I can say not so burdened by the situation. I even get a feeling they enjoy all this madness at first. Anyway, many people assume that “Seylum” is not the real Princess since there was a double. This theory is quite famous, and I tbh don’t even think she’s the fake one.

At last they defeated Trilltram’s Kataphrakt with a well-planned execution. Poor Asseylum, single handedly sacrificed by her very counts just to be the very reason to wage war to reclaim Earth. We have this Rayet girl who’s probably not okay with the Martians (will she spill the secret of our lovely princess?) after her Dad’s death in the hand of Trilltram in Shin’akawa. And Slaine why the heck you came back to those Martians? That was the right thing you killed Trilltram. Nevermind though, he’ll probably save his beloved princess. He knows what he’s doing or so I expect.

Then again as I watched episode 4 today, I feel the urge to know the events and characters here deeper and deeper because shit, the only names I remember are Inaho, Slaine and Princess Asseylum. I mean characters’ designs are good but I just can’t keep up with all this fuss. Episode 4 ain’t as cool as the episode 1, 2 and 3 but my fangirl inside me can’t help to ship Inaho with Princess Asseylum. Overall, IT’S VISUALLY COOL since I choose to ignore the frikking details as long as they keep it interesting and not cliché. The insert songs are something. Should check it though. You know the show is something when they have these different endings almost every week. Love the opening too, Princess Asseylum holding a gun in the end is dope :)
