From My Fair Lady, to Highs and Lows and finally Helter Skelter. I just love how they gave this anime amazing titles for its episodes. Although until now Lisa hasn’t played any significant role unless you count that being a damsel in distress as quite important, but I don’t really expect anything from her.
Not tryna be sarcastic but I just love the way she is, she doesn’t need to be some kind of female fatale (well she already is, Twelve betrayed Nine) or something just being the way reckless she is, is enough. The Ferris Wheels scene was just plain good with the soundtracks. This kind of combination really makes Zankyou no Terror special and the highs and lows are really real.
So much happened in three episodes, I just can’t believe we have 1 episode left! Zankyou no Terror has been great in my book. May be some of us regret where the story is going since Five appeared, but I have a different look at it. Wouldn’t it be boring if it is just Sphinx vs. The Police? We’re gonna fall to the same pattern every week. But I can’t deny I do miss the moments where it’s just Sphinx and their Greek riddles rule.
Shibazaki is taking the different route in the shadow to find the truth about Athena Plan. So we know who the hell the bad guys really are. It’s not Sphinx, it’s not Five nor the FBI (well, in fact FBI just wanted to prove the Atomic Bomb that Japan has built in secret), it’s the fault of the old generation who created the Athena facilities and took all those children’s future for their own good.
Episode 10 might start very slow but as we enter the second phase it’s kinda rushed. Even so, it’s still one of the best episodes I’ve watched (oh my god, literally all of ZnT episodes are just too cool to be missed). Nine ‘gave up’ to the police was the last thing I would expect, and Twelve is really lost without Nine.
Lisa is right about that feeling when someone really cares for you and goes through all the shits just to save your arse. Nine is one lucky bastard because Twelve really risked his life when he tried to stop Five and her craziness from Nine.
What to watch this episode is Five’s blitz of glory. So it’s not just the ego to beat Nine, it feels like she wants to connect with Nine. The urge to reach Nine has led her psychotic demeanor to some serious degree. Joined the FBI just worsen the matter with Five’s lack of empathy (shot Clarence without any hesitation). Five might be a fatalistic example of bad antagonist but I don’t really think she’s that bad. She has motives, and she did die in style after kissing Nine and revealed what she really wanted to prove by beating Sphinx, at last she did suicide instead of ‘enjoying’ her limited time.
With 2 hours left and the atomic bomb is set, I don’t really know what will happen to Japan, since Nine targeted the whole Japan area not just Tokyo and we are talking about an Atomic Bomb. Twelve is kinda helpless after the crash, Nine is handcuffed and Five is already dead. We only have Lisa and Shibazaki whom God knows where exactly they are and what they are doing at time like this.
Overall Zankyou no Terror might not be all about terror, it’s deeper than just terrorists story. It makes me wonder what will be the ending of Lisa, and how they’re gonna finish all this helter skelter (I’m saying it in a good way) in one episode left.
