FREE! – Iwatobi Swim Club (First Impression)

Okay the first time I watched this series was like couple hours ago (episode 1 & 2 exactly) and… beyond my expectation it IS quite something. As a fan of anime, I do enjoy watching this show (and it’s bishounen!!!) the main character is Haruka Nanase, a freestyle swimmer – he’s a boy – 

I don’t know I just love the character and the design, and his personality is quite interesting more reminds me of myself (apathetic, not very ambitious, but when he knows what he wants sure he tries hard to get it). Sometimes reminds me of Gray Fullbuster from Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail, a character that loves to strip everytime when he’s on fire. or ice? weird but it has me chuckle couple of times. Thank God he doesn’t do it in extreme way like Gray, Haru-chan (that’s what they call him) is very obsessed with water, well we can see it from the bath up scene ;P so everytime he sees water (I mean a big amount) he strips, the best part is his flat expression everytime he undresses hahahaha.

                The other characters are Rei Matsuoka (Haruka’s childhood friend that has a sudden turns of personality towards him and his friends after coming back from Australia), Makoto Tachibana (one of Haruka’s friends in Highschool), Nagisa Hazuki (Haruka’s friend too, I like his character here) and Gou Matsuoka (Rei’s lil sister, tbh I thought Rei was Gou I mean they look alike, redhead and you know it’s anime anything can happens, but thankfully it wasn’t her).

               

So far it’s quite good and I can smell competition and rivalry in the air, I like the plot, simple but entertaining -  two best friends that become enemies, tries to compete each other and blab la bla – reminds me again of another series (Gundam SEED between Athrun and Kira). The design of every characters are good, like I said before I really love Haru-chan’s persona. The pace is quite fast. And don’t forget Opening and Ending are important parts of anime too, you should check the ending guys, the song is cool and I like how they present it (in desert, Haru-chan is desperately looking for water).

So Guys, you may wanna watch this, this is worth watching, the biceps, the muscles, boys with good bodies everywhere!!!! And the the swimming scenes always look cool! Btw gomen for my language, im not a native English :)
